WOW 365 Terms and Conditions
Last updated: November 2025
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your participation in the WOW 365 Membership Programme (“Membership Programme”), operated by The WOW Foundation (UK Registered Charity No.1189880)
By purchasing or renewing your membership, you agree to abide by these Terms.
1. Definitions
For the purposes of these Terms:
“Commencement Date” means the date your membership is confirmed following successful payment (or invoice issue, where applicable).
“End Users” means individuals authorised to access membership benefits under an organisational membership.
“Programme Content” means all materials, recordings, events, resources, and related content provided through the Membership Programme.
2. Eligibility
Membership is available to individuals and organisations across the world. It is designed for anyone who is interested in learning more about how to advance gender equality for the benefit of everyone, and/or to deepen a connection with the work of WOW. Membership categories include:
- Individual Membership
- Not-for-Profit Membership
- Corporate Membership
Membership fees are tiered based on the category of membership most appropriate to you and your country of residence. Discounted rates are available for countries classified as emerging economies according to the International Monetary Fund’s current World Economic Outlook.
Membership eligibility may be subject to verification. For example, we may request evidence of not-for-profit or charitable status.
We welcome members from all backgrounds and sectors. WOW has a proud history of inclusion and intersectionality in our approach to the work we do. Members of all ages and all walks of life who are happy to operate within the terms of our Code of Conduct (see Clause 7) are welcome. If cost is a barrier to participation, a limited number of pro bono memberships are available. Please contact memberships@thewowfoundation.com and a member of the WOW team will be in touch to discuss.
Memberships are non-transferable. We reserve the right to refuse or revoke membership at our sole discretion.
3. Membership Benefits
Membership includes access to:
- Exclusive online events (live and pre-recorded talks and panel discussions)
- On-demand content, including recordings from WOW’s 15-year archive
- WOW in Focus, our monthly sessions curated around our 12 curatorial pillars
- Invitations to online networking events and gatherings (e.g. WOW Book Clubs)
- Participation in a global community who share your interest in gender equality
Benefits and services are subject to change at our discretion.
4. Fees, Payment & Renewal
Membership fees are billed either annually or monthly, depending on the type of membership selected, and payment is due at the time of registration.
Your membership will automatically renew at the end of each 12 month term (or 30 day term if you select monthly payment terms), unless cancelled before the renewal date.
You may cancel your membership at any time through your member account or by contacting us. All fees are non-refundable except where required by law.
Where membership is paid via invoice, membership is activated upon issue of the invoice. Full payment is required within 30 days unless otherwise agreed.
All annual Members will be contacted at least 30 days prior to renewal date. Members with bespoke terms will be contacted to discuss renewal terms.
All undisputed invoices must be paid in full. Any disputes must be raised within 7 days of invoice receipt, otherwise the invoice will be deemed valid.
We reserve the right to suspend memberships for unpaid invoices after 45 days.
4. Organisational Users
Organisational members (Not-for-Profit or Corporate) may designate a number of End Users as part of their membership, with a maximum total of 4 users.
6. Intellectual Property & Content Use
All Programme Content is the intellectual property of WOW or its licensors. Programme Content is provided for personal, non-commercial use only. You may not copy, share, or exploit it commercially without prior written permission.
7. Code of Conduct
All members agree to abide by our Code of Conduct, which reflects our commitment to equity, dignity, and respect.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate memberships for behaviour that violates this code, including discriminatory, harassing, or abusive conduct, whether online or in person.
8. Use of Third Party Platforms
Some services and events are hosted on third-party platforms (e.g. Zoom). Your use of these services is subject to their terms and conditions. WOW is not responsible for service disruptions, data breaches, or failures caused by third-party providers.
9. Event Participation
Events are subject to change or cancellation. We are not liable for scheduling changes, speaker substitutions, or delays. Where cancellation occurs, we will make reasonable efforts to notify members in advance.
Registration may be required to attend certain events, and in some instances spaces may be limited. Spaces will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
10. Image capture
WOW 365 events may from time to time be captured by photography, audio and/or film for use by The WOW Foundation and programme partners.
On these occasions full details would be given to all participants who would have the opportunity to turn off their cameras or take other action.
In the event that cameras remain on, full rights for usage are granted to The WOW Foundation for the reproduction, exhibition, transmission and broadcast of my image in perpetuity by all means and media (whether now known or hereafter invented) without liability or acknowledgement to myself. This might include (but is not limited to) the right to use them worldwide in printed and online publicity, social media, marketing, press and advertising use, by The WOW Foundation or any third parties granted permission by you. The WOW Foundation shall be entitled to cut and edit the images and/or film as deemed fit. All digital material together with prints shall constitute The WOW Foundation’s sole property.
11. Privacy and Data Protection
We are committed to protecting your privacy. Personal data is processed in compliance with UK data protection law, including the Data Protection Act and GDPR. A copy of Privacy Policy is available here.
By joining, you consent to the use of your data for the purposes of managing your membership and communicating programme updates.
WOW will not share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. Limited data may be shared with trusted service providers solely for delivering the Membership Programme.
12. Cancellation and Termination
You may cancel your membership at any time. No refunds will be issued for unused portions of the term unless required by law.
WOW reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the Membership Programme or individual memberships at our discretion. Where possible, reasonable notice will be given.
Breaches of these Terms, or the Code of Conduct may result in immediate termination of membership.
13. Limitation of Liability
The Membership Programme is provided as described in these Terms and Conditions “as is” without guarantees of availability or outcomes.
To the extent permitted by law, WOW is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from participation.
14. Force Majeure
WOW is not liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, pandemics, strikes, technical outages or government restrictions.
15. Amendments
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified to members. Continued use of membership after notification constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
16. Governing Law
These Terms are governed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
